Millionaire Discovers His Daughter and Four Grandkids Have Been Living in a Car for Years — Story of the Day

Steve Walton was devastated when Pastor Morris told him his estranged daughter, Susan, was homeless, living in a car with her four children. Years ago, Steve disowned Susan for marrying a poor man. “You marry him, and you’re on your own,” Steve had yelled at her, angry she was pregnant by a gardener. Despite his anger, Steve searched for her to no avail.Image 1

When Steve learned Susan’s husband had died, leaving her in poverty, he immediately flew to Los Angeles to find her. Upon reuniting, Susan said, “I love you, daddy… He loved me and gave me four beautiful children.”Image 2

Moved by her forgiveness, Steve asked, “Forgive me, Susan… Come home.” She agreed, and they flew back to Texas to start anew. Steve realized the importance of unconditional love and accepted Susan’s family, including her youngest son, whom she named after him.

“Don’t you know that?” Susan said softly. “I’ve always loved you.”
