Understanding and Managing Those Painful Red Bumps

As warmer weather approaches, many people with eczema face flare-ups, particularly those with dyshidrotic eczema. This type of eczema, also known as pompholyx, causes itchy, fluid-filled blisters on the hands and feet, often appearing suddenly and causing discomfort. The exact cause is unknown, but it’s believed to be linked to an overactive immune system and may be triggered by allergens, irritants, or stress. Dyshidrotic eczema mainly affects adults aged 20-40, with women more commonly impacted than men. Those with a history of atopic dermatitis, hay fever, or other allergic conditions are more likely to develop this form of eczema.Image 1
