I wanted to surprise my mom on her birthday, but the real surprise was on me. When I opened the bedroom door, I found my ex-husband asleep in her bed! Could they be\u2026 together?\n

I decided to surprise my mom with daisies for her birthday. When I got to her house, I was shocked to find men\u2019s shoes by the door and snoring coming from her bedroom. Nervously, I peeked in and saw my ex-husband, Luther, in her bed. My heart sank.\n

Mom explained that Luther, drunk and heartbroken, had shown up the night before, thinking I still lived there. She let him crash on the couch, but he must have wandered into her bed. \u201cHe said he made the biggest mistake of his life letting you go,\u201d she explained.\n

I decided to wake him up by pouring ice water on his face. He apologized profusely and admitted his regrets about our divorce. \u201cI never stopped loving you,\u201d he said, tears in his eyes.\n
